Job Qualifications
| Minimum Requirements |

| Must have a master's in Counselling Psychology degree from a recognzied University; |
| Must be a Member of Counselling Professional Body; |
| Must have at least five (5) years experience of working in a recognized institution; |
| He/She should be flexible and adaptable enough to work in a multicultural invironment. |
| Should have excellent team leadership skills; |
| Should possess good interpersonal and communication skills |
| Should be able to work under minimum supervision; |
| Should be a person of integrity, morally upright and mature |
| Should be a creative and innovative team player; |
| Must have understanding and experience in implementing culturally appropriated counseling interventions, including individual group and communidty-based approaches for an |
| Must have experience in developing curriculum in the counselling field and providing training for peer counselors using experiential learning acitivites based on couseling theories; Above all be a model worth emulating by the peer counselors in training. |

| Assist in implementation of peer counselors’ training program; |
| Assist in mentorship of peer counsellors to complete needs assessments in order to identify issues the students are going through and determine appropriate interventions to address them; |
| Be able to know the referral systems within Nairobi and refer clients to specialists as deemed necessary in collaboration with the University Counsellor. |
| Clinical Management: Assist in overseeing and facilitating psychosocial mental health interventions for CUEA community; |
| Participate as member of the program team to achieve program objectives; |
| Program/Project Evaluation: Participate in the design, review and implementation of program evaluation; |
| Reporting/ Record keeping: Write and submit regular reports regarding clinical and training activities; and keep records in a confidential manner; |
| Research: Should be able to carry out research related to the field of Counselling in collaboration with the University Counsellor; |
| To perform any other tasks as assigned by the University Counsellor. |
